Modified glass burette, video projection, Pacific Ocean water

“View Through What Once Was; Internalize What is Now” is a video installation that uses a drop of ocean water to view an inverted video of the Pacific ocean shore from which the water was obtained. A burette dropper system is placed in front of the video screen on a pedestal that is about 4.5’ tall. A magnifying glass is placed in front of the drop of water and the viewer is then allowed to view through the magnified drop of water. The drop of water captures the inverted video and turns it right side up. Accompanying the video are sounds of ocean waves crashing against the shore.
